A complicated incentive turned into one clear answer.
The problem
Comparing production tax incentives across jurisdictions meant manually working through complex, constantly-changing rules for every location under consideration.
The idea
Turn the incentive comparison into a simple calculator producers can run themselves.
What we built
A calculator that estimates qualifying spend, compares rebate structures side by side, and surfaces the production requirements behind each incentive.
The result
Producers get a clear answer on where an incentive makes sense before committing, instead of building a spreadsheet from scratch each time.
03Film distribution
Sonovision — Website
A distribution brand with the same polish as its films.
The problem
As a boutique distribution company, the outward-facing website needed to feel as considered and cinematic as the films being sold — not like a generic company brochure site.
The idea
Let the site's design carry the same tone as the catalog — cinematic, confident, LA/Warsaw dual-market — while making it easy to find current titles and get in touch.
What we built
A cinematic homepage built around current sales titles, dedicated brand pages for distribution labels, and What We Do / About / Contact sections in one cohesive site.
The result
A site that reads like a real distribution house's home base, not a placeholder — anchoring the LA/Warsaw positioning DMS uses across markets.
One site for the program, the tickets and the story.
The problem
The festival's program, schedule, tickets and press materials were spread across different tools, making it hard for attendees to find what they needed in one place.
The idea
One site that carries the festival's story and handles the practical logistics — schedule, tickets, sponsors — without feeling like a bolted-together system.
What we built
A festival website with program and schedule, ticketing and sponsor information, and a press/media section, built specifically for the Los Angeles Polish Film & Music Festival.
The result
Attendees, press and sponsors have one clear, on-brand place to go for everything about the festival.
05Events
Festival Command
Every moving part of festival week, in one place.
The problem
Running festival week meant juggling programming, sponsors, budgets, venues and marketing across separate tools and spreadsheets, with no single view of the whole event.
The idea
One command center for the festival team to run programming, budgets and marketing from the same place, all year — not just during the event.
What we built
An internal tool covering film programming and selection, sponsor and venue management, budget tracking, task assignment, marketing planning and wrap-up reporting.
The result
The team runs festival week from one system instead of stitching information together from multiple spreadsheets and inboxes.
06Outreach
Film Mailout
Turn a global contact list into the right ten names.
The problem
Reaching the right buyers meant manually sorting a huge, unorganized contact list every time a new title needed to go out.
The idea
Let the team filter contacts by buyer type, country and territory and build a targeted list in minutes instead of hours.
What we built
A contact and mailing-list tool with import, filtering by buyer type, country and territory, and export for outreach or newsletters.
The result
A targeted list that used to take hours to assemble by hand now comes together in seconds.
07Film sales
Catalog Builder
A sellable catalog without the manual data entry.
The problem
Building a sellable catalog meant manually entering cast, synopsis and poster details for every title, one by one.
The idea
Pull from a worldwide film database and auto-populate the catalog instead of typing it all in by hand.
What we built
A catalog tool that searches a worldwide film database, imports titles and metadata by territory, auto-populates cast, synopsis and poster art, and exports ready-to-share catalogs.
The result
A sellable, presentable catalog is ready in a fraction of the time manual entry used to take.
08Film sales
Crucial Play — Market Presentation
A market screener that plays like the film itself.
The problem
Sending buyers a PDF and a trailer link makes every film look the same — and makes it hard for a title to stand out ahead of a market.
The idea
Turn the sales materials into one interactive presentation that carries the film's tone, with everything a buyer needs one click away.
What we built
A chapter-based market presentation for the feature film by Ewa Stankiewicz-Jorgensen, with story, trailer, stills, cast & crew, downloadable materials and a market contact section.
The result
Buyers and festivals get a single link that feels like the film — and a sales team that no longer has to assemble materials by email.
An interactive presentation for a dark Hollywood comedy from Dark Park Studios, with an animated opening and sections for the pitch, cast, story, audience and partners.
